2,170 New Hotel Rooms Available in Dublin

Get In Touch

Several new hotel developments are on track to increase hotel capacity and bed stock in Dublin’s city centre. 2,170 new rooms have arrived or are due soon, perfect for hosting delegates at your next MICE event. Meet in Ireland has the inside track on some of the most recent additions, along with an update on the hotels scheduled to open in Dublin in the coming months.

The Hendrick

If modern art is your thing, then stay in a hotel that is akin to a gallery. Dublin's Smithfield area is fast becoming the cultural heart of the city, and the Hendrick Hotel is perfectly placed here. It is described as ‘Ireland's first street art hotel’ and features work from Irish and international artists.

The 259 pieces of art, including an iconic piece signed by the members of U2, are curated by Irish street artist James Earley. The Hendrick contains 146 ultra-modern rooms with quick and convenient self-check-in and check-out technology.

The Wilder Townhouse

Nestled in fashionable Dublin 2, a mere stroll from the lush landscape of St. Stephen's Green, The Wilder Townhouse is housed in a Victorian building that was originally a ‘home for retired governesses’ (another historical reference described it as a ‘home for bewildered women’!).

Each of the 42 bedrooms is unique, and sizes range from cosy ‘Shoebox’ rooms up to spacious Suites. Antique touches and modern luxury combine to provide a unique boutique hotel experience with an atmosphere of relaxed elegance.

Marlin Hotel

This brand new 300-bedroom hotel opened its doors in August 2019, offering contemporary rooms, workspaces and dining all in the centre of Dublin City. The Marlin Group has been welcoming guests in London for over 20 years, and their latest venue aims to be a home away from home.

The concept behind this beautifully designed hotel is ‘style meets function’, with a co-working space including 1GB broadband, printing services and a coffee dock and an indoor garden that’s ideal for private bookings and corporate events. A range of sustainable bathroom products ensures this hotel shows off its green credentials to eco-conscious business tourists.

The Clayton Hotel, Charlemont

With the perfect blend of old Georgian-style facade and modern interiors, the four-star Clayton Hotel Charlemont opened its doors in November 2018. Located by the banks of Dublin's centuries-old Grand Canal, the Dalata Hotel Group-owned hotel has 187 guest bedrooms.

There is also a fitness suite, six fully-equipped meeting rooms and two dining concepts – Gaudens Restaurant and Lockside Bar/Social – with capacity for 92. The well-appointed rooms are packed with modern features, including fast Wi-Fi and Chromecast, allowing guests to stream from their laptops or mobile devices to the TV. Comfort, class and convenience all meet in The Clayton to ensure a memorable stay.

Aloft Dublin City, The Liberties

Dublin raises the stakes in terms of millennial style with the arrival of Aloft, a tech-savvy hotel situated in the heart of the Liberties in Dublin 8. Part of the Marriott International family, the Aloft takes the familiar structure of a hotel and subverts it with a 7th floor reception topping the rooms below.

With stunning views that reach as far as the Wicklow Mountains, this 202-bedroom hotel packs a trendy punch and provides the perfect experience for global MICE groups. Delicious Irish food is on offer at the traditional hotel bar, while compostable coffee pods and no single use toiletry bottles means guests will be doing their bit for the planet.

Hyatt Centric, The Liberties

One of Dublin City’s most iconic neighbourhoods boasts a new landmark in the form of the Hyatt Centric The Liberties. This hotel’s location is second-to-none, with attractions like the Guinness Storehouse and St Patrick’s Cathedral just around the corner. It’s purpose-built for the MICE industry with 234 well-equipped bedrooms, opportunities for networking at The Liberties Gate Bar & Restaurant and state-of-the-art conferencing facilities. A hands-on whiskey tasting experience is guaranteed to impress international visitors.

Coming soon…

As if the above-mentioned newcomers to the Dublin hotel scene weren't enough to entice MICE groups, more are due to open their doors soon. International groups such as Radisson and Dalata have upscale offerings on their way, as does the Marriott Group in the form of The Moxy. Add in the more budget-conscious Travelodge and German chain Motel One and Dublin will soon have a world of choice for every type of trip.
