The Meet in Ireland Team along with 35 tourism business from across the island of Ireland facilitated over 1,900 meetings with global conference, meeting and incentive travel planners at IMEX Frankfurt, Europe's largest Business Events tradeshow. These connections will help deliver the €1 billion that business events travel contributes to our economy annually.
A particular highlight was the international launch of Business Events 2030, Ireland’s new business events strategy by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke T.D. This milestone moment on the Meet in Ireland stand showcased our ambitious vision for Ireland's future as a world-class business events destination.

Paul Mockler joined the Policy Forum panel discussion at Place Leadership – Influence & Impact, where the rising importance of place leadership for destinations was under the spotlight. Over 100 destination representatives and 20 policymakers from 30-plus countries gathered to discuss and learn how to influence the future direction of business events through policy making and strategic destination management.

Ciara Gallagher and Greg Carew discussed Ireland’s new Business Events Strategy which represents a fundamental shift in how Ireland approaches business events with James Latham on Day 1 at The Big Association Rethink session at IMEX Educational and again on Day 2 with Gorazd Cad and Jan Orsic in the live Ljubljana Talks podcast. Business Events 2030 embraces a more holistic approach that equally values, economic, social and environmental impacts.

During IMEX Frankfurt, Fáilte Ireland, in partnership with Flanders Convention Bureau, hosted an Associations dinner with 21 international associations in attendance. Attendees enjoyed an evening learning all about why Ireland and Flanders are world-class destinations for international association conferences and the range of supports offered by both destinations.

Matthew Smith was a panellist at the first ever SITE Young Leaders Conference in Europe which focused on growth and development within SITE, exploring strategies for increasing online presence, and discuss the importance of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
