Duration: 48 Hours | Group Size: 20-50 | Locations visited: Dunquin, Dingle and Killarney

The Kingdom of Kerry sample incentive itinerary is an awe-inspiring experience that will leave corporate groups from around the world refreshed, invigorated and recharged. Built to showcase the beauty of Kerry, this unforgettable 48-hour programme takes in everything from stunning mountain scenery to rugged islands, friendly people to delicious local delicacies.

As a world-class MICE travel experience, The Kingdom of Kerry combines both adventure and culture with five star luxury at one of Ireland’s multi-award winning hotels. The Europe Hotel in Killarney, nestled in the mountains overlooking a picturesque lake, excels in extending the welcome that Ireland is famous for while catering to guests’ every need.

Day 1

Island Culture

Island Culture
Start your exploration of Kerry at the Blasket Centre in Dunquin, Dingle. This fascinating heritage hotspot on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula celebrates the unique community who lived on the remote Blasket Islands until 1953. Explore the romance of island life, subsistence fishing and farming, and traditional Irish customs and entertainment via exhibitions, interactive displays, artefacts and artworks. The centre also reveals the extraordinary literary legacy of the islanders, with classics such as ‘The Islandman’, ‘Twenty Years A-Growing’ and ‘Peig’.

A well-timed coffee break will include locally baked scones, enjoyed while indulging in some traditional Irish music provided by local musicians. Dingle is a Gaeltacht or Irish-speaking region, and steeped in language, music and culture, so groups might even get the chance to learn a ‘Cúpla Focal’ — a few words of the native tongue.

Louis Mulcahy pottery experience

 Louis Mulcahy pottery experience
The colours and character of Kerry are embedded in the distinctive pottery of artist Louis Mulcahy. Just a 10 minute drive from the Blasket Centre in Clothar near Ballyferriter, his workshop is the perfect place in which to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the region with a pottery experience.

Guests will make their own pots, with the guidance of an experienced potter — finished masterpieces will be fired, glazed and mailed to guests as a memento of their visit to Luis Mulcahy. Lunch at the pottery centre café can offer locally sourced crabmeat, organic Irish salmon, Kerry cheeses and a selection of daily specials.

Local brewery tour

Dick Mack’s Pub is an iconic Dingle landmark, a dual-function pub with drinks served in one half of the bar, and a leather shop residing on the other.

Dick Mack’s Brewhouse building, built in the 1850s, has recently been given a fresh lease of life as a brewery and taproom, with tours that provide a delicious taste of local flavours — both beer, and cheese, courtesy of local artisan producer the Little Cheese Shop.

After this cosy Irish pub experience, with appetites well-sated, groups will retire for rest and relaxation at the Europe Hotel.

Day 2

Cycle the Kingdom

Cycle the Kingdom
A bicycle tour of the area is the perfect way to discover the secrets of Kerry. Groups can cycle from the Europe Hotel through Killarney National Park, experiencing the beauty of one of Ireland’s largest and most spectacular destination, before moving on to Killarney House and Gardens. Here they will meet animated and costumed tour guides who will guide them through this majestic estate, revealing its strange history and original features. The property has undergone an extensive redevelopment project, with a recently opened interpretive centre for the 25,000-acre national park opening in late 2018.
