Dublin and Shannon

Legends of literature, wonders of the Wild Atlantic and true Irish luxury

Delegates take part in falconry in front of a large castle
This high-budget luxury experience is designed for groups of 50 people or less and provides two very different perspectives on Ireland: city excitement and remote, rugged coast. With a focus on authentic experiences like Gaelic sports, famous Irish authors and local crafts, guests will fully immerse themselves in the culture of Ireland and be blown away by the wonders of the Wild Atlantic Way on this five-day programme.

Day One

Sports sessions and literary legends in the city

Five delegates take part in a hurling lesson on the beach

You can tell a lot about a nation by its sports and Ireland's national games are utterly unique. An interactive sports session will be the perfect way to break the ice and get this five star itinerary off to a great start.

On arrival into Dublin, the group will try their hand at Gaelic football and hurling, the fastest field sport in the world; our Irish DMC partners will be happy to facilitate a session with a trusted partner operator, like Experience Gaelic Games for example. After lunch, the group will walk in the steps of Irish writing legends on a literary pub crawl – the perfect way to orient themselves and absorb some culture at the same time.

After a delicious welcome dinner, a private whiskey tasting session with a specialist whiskey purveyor, like Celtic Whiskey Shop for example, will form the perfect conclusion to an impressive first day.

Day Two

Crafts, creativity and a pint of Dublin's black stuff

Day Two

Ireland's art and craft scene is thriving and powerfully captures the unique Irish character. Arran Street East, in the heart of Dublin city, will welcome the group for a morning of creativity, bound to inspire each of the guests. After learning potting techniques, guests will create their own unique masterpiece that they can bring home to remind them of their trip to the Emerald Isle.

No trip to Ireland’s capital is complete without visiting the "home of the black stuff" at the world-famous Guinness Storehouse. Here guests will pull their very own pints and savour them in the stunning Gravity Bar with 360º views of Dublin’s skyline.

A sing-along in a traditional Irish pub will end Day Two: a rite of passage essential for every visitor from overseas and an experience guaranteed to end the night on a high note.

Day Three

Medieval majesty in Ireland's wild west

A large castle with manicured lawns in front

Less than three hours away from Dublin by private coach is the Shannon region on Ireland's west coast – a spectacular rural landscape that perfectly contrasts with Dublin's city vibes.

On arrival, the group will discover a land untouched by commercial tourism and underpinned by the warm hospitality of locals. A majestic five star castle property in the Shannon region awaits, where the group will be treated to a private falconry demonstration. To find out more about the ancient castles that dot Ireland's landscape, ready to roll out the red carpet to incentive groups, read our Royal Treatment feature.

After some relaxation, a memorable dine-around dinner will be staged on the grounds of the estate, allowing guests to experience the very best of Irish cuisine.

Day 4

Team-building on the Wild Atlantic Way

The steep Cliffs of Moher stretch off into the distance, with the sea beneath them
This day will be dedicated to the wonders of the Wild Atlantic Way, one of the longest coastal routes in the world and an ideal destination for incentive experiences.

The Cliffs of Moher will make a spectacular starting point – stretching for five miles along the ocean, this jagged coastline and natural masterpiece provides unbeatable photo opportunities.

A 4x4 discovery team-building challenge will offer guests a chance to bond with eachother in an awe-inspiring location, while a private oyster and Guinness tasting session in a local pub will provide the perfect mid-afternoon break, with the main focus on the Wild Atlantic Way's delectable local produce.

Day 5

A land of music, myth and mystery

Two people dancing in a pub

On their final morning, guests can opt for a private yoga session or enjoy the castle estate spa facilities – a welcome opportunity for rest after four busy days. To find out more about Ireland's impressive accommodation sector and hotel facilities, browse our listing section.

After lunch, the group will partake in an exciting – and unusual – outdoor incentive activity as they travel (in vintage cars) back in time to a land of medieval castles and mythical Irish creatures.

For the final night of this luxury itinerary, dinner will be followed by a celebratory Irish ‘session’ in a pub (just one of the many unique experiences that await incentive groups in Ireland). It will be the perfect end to a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ireland.

Saying goodbye to Ireland
