Located at the centre of the City, set in leafy Donegall Square, the magnificent baroque revival City Hall is the main civic space for Belfast. The building is conveniently located close the City’s main conference venues, making it an ideal location for drinks receptions, conference dinners or tours to enhance your delegate’s visit.
The building is not only at the heart of Belfast geographically but is also historically is at the centre of so many important aspects of local history sharing close links with the world famous ship Titanic for example. Public transport links surround the grounds of City Hall with both Great Victoria St Rail Station and Central Rail Station only a few minutes’ walk away. A host of hotels, bars and restaurants also radiate out from City Hall and so visitors to the building are spoilt for choice in terms of accommodation and refreshment.
City Hall has a number of functions rooms and spaces which although cannot be booked exclusively for conferences, can be used in association with other venues to enhance the experience of your delegates. The Great Hall for example can be used as a venue for your conference closing dinner or alternatively an evening drinks reception and tour could be a spectacular welcome to the city for your guests. All events must meet a set of criteria and a formal application form is required to be completed. It is recommended you discuss your event with one of the Civic HQ Unit staff prior to application.
