The discipline of linguistic landscape has evolved through an expansion in range and scope of topics investigated under the multi-discplinary umbrella of linguistic landscape. Such is the extent of the diversification the discipline that it now finds itself a key crossroads moment, which gives rise to our conference theme ‘Crisis’. “Crisis” invites scholars to explore how linguistic landscapes reflect, respond to, and are shaped by crises—whether political, environmental, economic, social, or epistemological.
