Meet in Ireland has made temporary amendments to the current Financial Supports guidelines. These changes have been made in order to attract key decision-makers to choose Ireland as the destination for their next international event.
The Destination Subvention has been increased to €100 per international delegate for all 'in person' attendees at qualifying business events held in the Republic of Ireland in 2022.
All applications must now be received at least two months in advance of the event, with penalties applied if the event delivers less than 80% of the number of international delegates proposed in the funding application.
This funding is in addition to any other bid and site inspection support. Terms and conditions for bid and site inspection support remain unchanged. Find out more here.
These upweighted supports are available for all new applications received from December 1st 2021 for events taking place before the end of 2022. Funding will revert to €30 per international delegate for events taking place in 2023 and beyond.
All applications must be completed online, you can find the form here. All applications must be made at least two months prior to the event, with applicants required to have a legacy and sustainability plan in place for the event.
The full eligibility criteria can be found here.
