For the past four years Dublin has played host to the EMEA DoubleClick Leadership Summit (DLS), an annual gathering of publisher, advertiser and agency executives from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. These are some of Google’s biggest clients. They buy and sell Google’s advertising products, and the Leadership Summit represents their opportunity to create brand advocates — buyers and sellers who are passionate about the products and can’t wait to share new developments with their wider audience.
For this two day event, Google required meeting and venues for 250 VP ++ level senior decision makers from agencies, advertisers and publishers as well as 100 Google employees from across EMEA. It was crucial that the venues showed the best possible side of Dublin City and created a strong VIP impression, as did the required five star accommodation and entire travel experience.
That’s where the Cogs & Marvel team came in; as a creative events agency, they’ve been planning and organising such events for many years and know just how to deliver. Cogs & Marvel knew that Dublin was a city offering connectivity throughout EMEA, venues with the infrastructure expected of a top MICE destination, as well as elegant, old-world charm.
To show the city to its advantage, they ensured delegates were accommodated in five star hotels around the city centre, with meetings taking place in Google HQ and the Stephen’s Green Club, and evening events held in House Dublin and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. Today the client has positive memories of their successful MICE experience in Ireland:
“The DoubleClick Leadership Summit 2016 ran seamlessly, thanks to the Cogs & Marvel team. The Royal Hospital Kilmainham made an impressive dinner venue choice for our guests, and was the perfect place to celebrate the close of the event.”
Such is the faith of the DoubleClick Leadership Summit organisers in Dublin’s potential, they are entrusting their event to the capital city again in 2017.
