Through her work in Business Development for Meet in Ireland, Karen O’Sullivan helps to promote Ireland as a world-class business tourism destination.
“I'm from Wicklow, Ireland’s Garden County, so it should be no surprise that my favourite thing to do, no matter the weather, is to spend time outside. Wicklow is a wonderland for anyone who loves climbing mountains or whiling away an afternoon walking with friends. This part of the country is famous for gardens like Mount Usher, Powerscourt Estate, Avondale House and Kilruddery (the list goes on!) but for me, Glendalough, “the valley of the two lakes” is my favourite place in Ireland.
I love to travel. As soon as I’m home from a trip abroad, I start planning the next one. When I'm not exploring in other countries I love visiting new places or trying new things in Ireland. Mostly this involves checking out a new spot for brunch or having a night out with friends in Dublin, but when I can, I love heading off to find out what’s happening in other towns and cities too. My favourite way to unwind is to watch a comedy gig, so when comedians that make me laugh come to Ireland, I’ll always try to find some tickets.”
