On Thursday, following breakfast at the Shelbourne Hotel, we’ll finish our time in Dublin and travel to Ireland’s Ancient East. Your schedule will be as follows:

  • Depart for County Kildare, in Ireland’s Ancient East, home to Ireland’s finest gardens and estates.

  • Arrive at the 5* K Club’s 550-acre estate, and experience either a country pursuit or a golf lesson on their immaculate Ryder Cup golf course.

Wild Atlantic Way

Friday, 8th November

Continuing along the Wild Atlantic Way, you will take in breathtaking scenery, unforgettable coastal routes, historic castles and uniquely Irish experiences:

  • Relax and enjoy a unique morning on the grounds of Ashford Castle through a guided walk, led by Irish Wolfhounds.

  • Travel the breathtaking Wild Atlantic Way to the world-famous Cliffs of Moher. The Cliffs of Moher are sea cliffs located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare and run for 14 kilometres. At their southern end, they rise 120 metres above the Atlantic Ocean, and at their northern end, they reach their maximum height of 214 metres.

  • Enjoy lunch and a bodhrán workshop in a traditional Irish pub in Doolin, County Clare. The bodhrán is an Irish frame drum, created from a round wooden frame, complete with an animal or synthetic skin stretched across the top. It is played using a stick called a ‘tipper’ which is used to rhythmically beat the skin.

  • Experience afternoon tea in the magnificent 5* Dromoland Castle. This Renaissance structure was built in the 16th century and retains all the splendour of its rich and storied history. With a reputation built on traditional values and warm hospitality Dromoland Castle seamlessly blends old world elegance with contemporary luxury.

  • Complete your time in Ireland with the Winner of ‘Hotel of the Year’ at the Virtuoso Best of the Best Awards 2018, the 5* Adare Manor. A cherished heritage of Irish hospitality has been distilled into the spirit of welcome you feel within the walls. Adare Manor was a labour of love from the very start, created to delight, astonish and impress. Enjoy an evening of sumptuous food, before an overnight stay in one of the individually designed and beautifully furnished bedrooms.
