On Saturday 17th March the Irish celebrated their national feast day; St. Patrick’s Day. This famous day was celebrated throughout the world and also in Brussels, the capital of Europe. This year, as part of Tourism Ireland’s ‘Global Greening’ initiative, the Brussels Town Hall in the historic ‘Grand Place’ was completely lit-up in green. Tourism Ireland invited business contacts from various International Associations based in Brussels to the launch of the greening of the Brussels Town Hall on Friday 16th March. They attended a festive St Patrick’s reception at the Salle Gothique of the Town Hall along with esteemed guests such as Minister Coveney, Ambassador Mac Aodha and Mayor Thielemans.
