What Is the Ambassador Programme?
The Conference Ambassador Programme gives relevant, specialised assistance to Conference Ambassadors at every stage of bidding for and organising an international conference.
Fáilte Ireland’s Conference Ambassador Financial Support Scheme supports three main areas:
We provide financial and practical aid in bidding for a particular international conference or association to
choose Ireland as the host destination. We can assist with the initial
bid document related costs and the travel and accommodation associated with the bid/presentation.
Site inspections are used to encourage key decision makers to make the trip to Ireland to experience firsthand the quality of our facilities and encourage them to make a decision in favour of Ireland being host destination. Financial and practical help is available.
The marketing fund is a financial contribution towards the marketing of the conference. We support activities that promote the conference internationally to increase delegate attendance and ensure its success.
(Please note: we can only make a contribution towards some or all of the above activities. All support is subject to audit criteria.)
Fáilte Ireland also works closely with Tourism Ireland and their global offices. Tourism Ireland can help promote a conference to be set in Ireland in the years running up to it, with promotional material and support.
