Abbott Nutrition International General Managers Meeting
Custom Ireland coordinated the Abbott Nutrition meetings at the Ritz Carlton Powerscourt over five days which more than eighty delegates from over 40 countries attended. Local DMC knowledge and assistance was requested by the Abbott meeting & event planner based in the US.
During the event the Abbott organiser had to return to the States at short notice and Custom Ireland assumed a more hands-on management role for the remainder of the meeting.
Custom Ireland's role was to provide local assistance to the US based Abbott event planner. The aim of the managers' meeting is to allow for out of office discussion, local area sightseeing, dining and activities. Logistics, transport and evening events were the key requirements.
Careful consideration was given to logistics. Airport transportation was organised for arrival and departure of 67 different flights. Luxury transportation from cars to large coaches was deployed clocking up some 73 different transportation arrangements. A dedicated team member was at Dublin airport for incoming and outgoing flights.
Pre-conference organisation included the selection, packaging and distribution of varying gifts. Print services were also arranged.
Day two included coaching to Abbott's Irish Headquarters at Cootehill. Guests were escorted that evening to Wicklow Gaol where delegates enjoyed a private tour and a hog roast & buffet dinner to finish.
The final evening’s event was at Gravity Bar in Guinness Storehouse. Overlooking Dublin city, traditional musicians raised the roof resulting in lively dancing. Dining was casual with 'supper bowls' and delegates pulled their own pints. There was an opportunity to remain in the city with late night returns to the hotel.
